TRU-BLU-BERRIES
Tru-Blu-Berries is the brand used by the marketing cooperative formed here at Whitesbog by Joe’s Great-Aunt Elizabeth with Stanley Coville. It became the world’s blueberry brand, with a grower membership of well over 400 and handling over 85% of the world’s blueberry supply. The coop slowly began to shrink as blueberry farming spread to larger and larger geographic regions. In 2004 the coop dissolved; Joe and Brenda bought the brand and brought it back home to Whitesbog, the birthplace of the blueberry industry and the brand. We currently market blueberry products from the farm that started it all under the Tru-Blu-Berries label, featuring the prized Elizabeth Variety blueberry.
